L’impatto globale della malaria. Strategie per la prevenzione e lo sradicamento

Is a malaria eradication possible? And what are the priorities for achieving this goal?

On the occasion of World Malaria Day, the Institute of International Affairs (IAI) is organizing a webinar to analyze cooperation strategies to ensure the right to health on a global scale. The discussion will cover the global impact of malaria, the link between climate change and the spread of the disease, and the growing risk of its expansion.

A round table with representatives from national institutions, international organizations, and civil society will analyze the progress made toward the eradication of malaria, the conditions necessary to reach this objective, and the main obstacles standing in the way. The event will take stock of key innovations in the fields of vaccines, drugs, diagnostics, and prevention, as well as the role of public-private partnerships. Special attention will be paid to the contribution of Italian research and industry in the global fight against infectious diseases and the protection of the most vulnerable communities.
