Round-table by invitation only

In 2015, the international community adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Among the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), health plays a central role due to its close interlinkages with other goals such as poverty reduction, education, gender equality, and sustainable growth. The ongoing global process of digitalisation – advancing at different speeds across regions – and rapid technological innovations, including artificial intelligence (AI), can provide a decisive contribution to achieving SDG 3 on health and well-being. Infant mortality reduction, universal access to healthcare, and the fight against communicable diseases are just some of the benchmarks by which global progress will be measured in 2030.
The Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI) has organized a roundtable under the Chatham House to promote a dialogue on the opportunities and challenges that digitalisation and AI present for global health, with a particular focus on how Italian cooperation can contribute to achieving SDG 3 targets.
