Turkey's Path to Prosperity in 2023: How to Avoid the Middle-Income Trap through Inclusive Economic Growth

The Center for American Progress, the Istanbul Policy Center, and the Istituto Affari Internazionali held the public launch of the first report from Turkey 2023: A Trilateral Task Force, entitled Turkey's Path to Prosperity in 2023: How to Avoid the Middle-Income Trap through Inclusive Economic Growth. Opening remarks and a moderated conversation with: Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Şimşek and U.S. Ambassador John R. Bass.

Turkey 2023: A Trilateral Task Force is an effort to outline a long-term prosperity vision for Turkey and assess the state of the Republic one hundred years after its foundation. The Task Force and its Economic Expert Working Group has worked for seven months on Turkey's Path to Prosperity in 2023, which outlines an economic roadmap for Turkey through 2023, addressing ideas of inclusive growth, sustainable investment strategies, prospects for EU membership, and global integration.
