Towards a new strategy for the Balkans: Another paper exercise?

This Policy Dialogue aims at discussing EU enlargement policy towards the Western Balkans after the European Council failure to open accession negotiations with Albania and North Macedonia, in October 2019, and before the publishing of a new strategy about the future of EU enlargement by the European Commission, in February 2020. The Policy Dialogue is organized by the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI), the European Policy Centre (EPC), the European Funds for the Balkans (EFB) and the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP) with the support of Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and Compagnia di San Paolo – International Affairs.
