Global Health Diplomacy

General course overview
Health has gained increasing relevance at the global level, particularly in the aftermath of the COVID 19 pandemic, which highlighted the interdependencies of living conditions across States and regions. Education plays a central role in actively engaging younger generations in these issues. Greater awareness and understanding of the global role of health are essential to train the next generation of public decision makers and stakeholders, as well as to build a global health system based on broader and more systematic cooperation.
Within this framework, the Executive Masterclass “Global Health Diplomacy”, organized in collaboration with the Geneva Graduate Institute and with the support of Friends of the Global Fund, Focus Equality and Fondazione Roma, will illustrate both theory and practice of multilateral health diplomacy, with particular attention to cooperation frameworks and agreements, institutional and non-institutional actors, and negotiation processes. drawing also on selected case studies.
