From periphery to core: the climate and energy journey of European foreign policy

Climate and energy policy are on a journey. For years they were relegated to the margins of European foreign policy. While the European Union prided itself on being a climate leader in world affairs long before its European Green Deal, climate featured only sporadically in foreign and security policy until the 2015 Paris Agreement.
