An External Anchor for Turkey’s Trade: Three Scenarios

In a new paper published in the framework of the Global Turkey in Europe project run by IAI, the Istanbul Policy Center and the Mercator Foundation, Kemal Kirişci director of Turkey Project at the Brookings Institution and Sinan Ekim from the Istanbul Policy Center analyse Turkey’s economic and trade relationships while focussing on three scenarios: an upgraded Customs Union with the EU, Turkish participation in the TTIP and the conclusion of a Turkey-US free trade agreement. Another recent paper focuses on EU-Turkish economic relations and the TTIP.
