Two recent IAI publications assess the challenges facing the Al-Sisi regime as it struggles to consolidate power, clamp down on dissent and encroach on Egypt’s public sphere. A third paper focusses on the evolution of Egypt’s foreign policy under the Muslim Brotherhood and the army, arguing that the country’s foreign engagements can largely be explained through the prism of Egypt’s domestic setting.
