Sahel: Governance and Security

The EU plays a multi-layered role in the governance of the Sahel. The application of its strategy is however at the experimental level and is conditioned by short-term needs, such as curbing migration.
This issue will be addressed in an international conference in Rome, on 12 February, organised by IAI, FEPS and NDI, with the support of Italy's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
