Egypt and the energy game in the Eastern Mediterranean

The arrival of gas from natural gas fields in Israel’s Tamar basin, with annual supplies of 2.5 billion cubic meters, is tempting for Egypt which, in 2012, stated that it had joined the group of gas-importing countries. But an agreement, for now, is far off.
