One year after the popular uprisings in the Arab world, the labor market issues affecting young people, particularly the educated youth, are unmitigated. In the cases of Tunisia and Egypt, the conditions have further deteriorated. In order to tackle the continued economic exclusion of youth in North African countries, a necessary precondition will be the radical rethinking of each country's development strategy, directing it toward a more youth-oriented growth model.
