The purpose of the event is to analyse the health and security nexus with a focus on the relevance of epidemic/pandemic risk for European and global security. Experts and policy-makers will discuss the role of the various actors involved in global health governance and the international cooperation initiatives needed to effectively address global health threats such as pandemics. A IAI paper [3] related to these issues will be presented and discussed during the event.
