New Convergences in EU-RoK Economic Security Relations

The project examined the potential for cooperation between the EU and the Republic of Korea (RoK) in four policy areas related to economic security: (a) maritime and communication route security; (b) trade weaponisation and anti-coercive instruments; (c) securing production chains in the technology sector; (d) energy security and new green technologies. The project aimed to make an assessment of the conditions for an enlargement and deepening of the EU-Rok strategic partnership by fostering an exchange between experts from both sides, who were commissioned four papers to be presented at a seminar, held in Rome in January 2024. The papers were then merged into a volume published in July 2024.
