Disinformation ahead of the EU elections: Insights from Italy, Bulgaria and Germany

This hybrid Policy Dialogue presented the findings of a new EPC-IAI Discussion Paper [3] on the potential impact of disinformation on the upcoming European Parliament elections.
The Paper offers a pre-election overview of disinformation narratives in three European countries – Bulgaria, Germany, and Italy – on three topics related to Russia’s war against Ukraine: Ukrainian refugees, Western military support, and the energy crisis.
After a presentation of the research’s key findings, panellists exchanged views and explore ways to strengthen resilience against manipulation and interference.
