“China’s story”: Party rhetoric and state disinformation

In recent years, China’s leadership has made great efforts to mold elite and public opinion abroad, including in Italy, by developing a more assertive approach and new ways of communicating with foreign audiences. Thanks to the participation of leading international experts in the field of China’s political communication, public diplomacy, propaganda and disinformation, this IAI public conference sheds light on the contents of China’s official communication on a number of key and crucial issues.

This initiative is part of a one-year project “Countering Chinese disinformation in Italy [4]” carried out by IAI with the support of the U.S. Mission to Italy through its 2022 Annual Program Statement grant program.
