Climate: The European Green New Deal

In Brussels, the Green New Deal is taking shape: the ambitious plan to make the Old Continent carbon neutral by 2050 will be the cornerstone of the policy of the next EU executive. Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, appointed her deputy Frans Timmermans to oversee this sustainable transformation. The Green New Deal revolves around five key actions, such as decarbonisation, efficiency and transition.
