Questo volume collettaneo offre un’analisi tempestiva e approfondita della percezione delle relazioni euromediterranee e dell’azione politica dell’Ue verso l’area del Mediterraneo. Il libro prende spunto dai recenti sviluppi geopolitici in Medio Oriente e Nord Africa per sollecitare uno svecchiamento del partenariato euromediterraneo, contestando l’orientamento eurocentrico delle politiche dell’Ue – un elemento critico che spiega perché l’Ue non sia stata in grado di adeguare le proprie politiche alla complessità della regione, che è in rapida evoluzione. Il volume illustra quindi i risultati di un sondaggio condotto nel 2017–2018 presso le élite di attori locali in nove paesi del Mediterraneo. I risultati di questa indagine e le relative raccomandazioni strategiche, presentati in questo volume, intendono contribuire a rendere le politiche dell’Ue più rispondenti ai principali problemi della regione, più flessibili a livello multilaterale e bilaterale e più inclusive rispetto ai principali attori interessati. Questo libro si rivolge ai responsabili delle politiche Ue, alla società civile, a studiosi e ricercatori che si occupano della politica dell’UE, nonché, in generale, agli esperti di relazioni internazionali.
