Flavia Fusco is junior researcher within the Mediterranean and Middle East and Italian Foreign Policy programmes at the Istituto Affari Internazionali (IAI). She holds a Master’s Degree in International Relations of the Middle East and North Africa from the University of Naples “L’Orientale” with a thesis concerning a critical analysis on decentralisation policies as peacebuilding and developmental tool in the Middle East, focusing on the case studies of Lebanon and Iraq. She previously worked as an intern at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and has improved her knowledge of Arabic in Jordan.
