Political Trajectories and Security Concerns

Recent IAI papers in the Global Turkey in Europe project assess the AKP’s victory in the country’s general elections last November. In explaining the AKP’s electoral comeback, authors focus on the domestic and foreign policy agenda of the AKP and in particular its reactions to the rising security concerns tied to the conflict in Syria-Iraq and relations with Turkey’s Kurdish minority.
