Disarmament: Mentorship programme

The International Affairs Institute and The Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation, on behalf of the EU Non-Proliferation and Disarmament Consortium, present the Young Women in Non-Proliferation and Disarmament (YWNPD) Mentorship Programme. Created under the Young Women and Next Generation Initiative (YWNGI), the programme is designed to engage young women in the field of arms control, non-proliferation and disarmament. The YWNPD mentorship programme pairs successful candidates (mentees) with well-established experts (mentors) to engage in a mentoring relationship, which envisions, among other things, regular video conferencing sessions. Mentees will also be expected to attend conferences, including the EU Next Generation Follow-Up Meeting. Networking and career opportunities will be facilitated through seminars, social events, and other activities. The mentorship programme is open to female students currently enrolled in undergraduate, graduate, or post-graduate programmes, as well as recent graduates (graduated less than three years ago). Application deadline is 26 February 2021.
