Riccardo Alcaro Researcher

Within the IAI's Transatlantic Programme, Riccardo Alcaro is responsible for the organization of the annual Symposium on Transatlantic Security on the security priorities debated by the transatlantic partners. He drafts and supervises a series of reports and briefs on issues of transatlantic and European interest that IAI works out for both Chambers of the Italian Parliament. He has been awarded a grant within the EU-wide programme “European Foreign and Security Policy Studies” (EFSPS), jointly organised by the Compagnia di San Paolo, the Volkswagen Stiftung, and the Riksbankens Jubilaeumsfond, to conduct a research on “Exploring the potential and limits of the CFSP: the EU action on Iran’s nuclear issue”. He is responsible for the drafting of the section on EU’s external relations of the European policy analyst, the Economist Intelligence Unit’s quarterly on the European Union.
