Europe-Maghreb relations, political and economic developments in North Africa
Maria Cristina Paciello is researcher at the
International Affairs Institute (IAI) and lecturer in
economic and political geography of development
at the University of Rome “La Sapienza”. Her main
research interests are the politics and economics
of the Middle East and North Africa region. She obtained
a MSc in Development Studies, at the School of
Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London,
and her PhD in political economy of developing countries
at the Economic Studies Department, University of Florence.
